Phu Quoc Economic Zone

Phu Quoc Economic Zone is a coastal economic zone of Vietnam. This is one of three economic zones prioritized by the Vietnamese government from now to 2020 (the remaining two economic zones are Van Phong Economic Zone and Van Don Economic Zone). Operation

In this economic zone, there are non-tariff areas and other functional areas of the rest such as tourist areas, services, ports and port logistics services, industrial parks, urban areas, residential areas, areas. administration and other functional areas.

The non-tariff area is defined in the detailed plan associated with An Thoi port and Phu Quoc airport.

 The non-tariff area include major types of production and business such as: producing, processing, recycling, assembling exports, imports and goods serving on the spot;Trade in goods (including export, import, border-gate transfer, temporary import for re-export, distribution, retail shops and supermarkets, duty-free shops and supermarkets); Trade in services (sorting, packing, shipping and forwarding goods in transit, storage, warehouses, bonded warehouses, finance, banking, transportation, insurance, entertainment, restaurants, restaurants Eating);

Phu Quoc Economic Zone is organized into a non-tariff area and a tariff area. The non-tariff area is the defined area associated with An Thoi port and Phu Quoc airport.

The size and location of each area are determined in the Prime Minister's Decision No. 1197 / QD-TTg of November 9, 2005, approving the general planning on construction of Phu Quoc island, Kien Giang province, till 2020 and the Decision Decision No. 633 / QD-TTg dated May 11, 2010 of the Prime Minister approving the adjustment of the general planning of Phu Quoc island till 2030.
