Dinh An economic zone has a total natural area of 39,020 ha, including part of the natural land area of Tra Cu and Duyen Hai districts, accounting for 1/5 of the total natural area of the province.
According to the master plan, north of Dinh An economic zone borders provincial road 914 in Long Huu commune, Hiep Thanh, (Duyen Hai) and Kim Son (Tra Cu); Southwest borders Hau river and Dinh An estuary, south and southeast borders East Sea with a coastline of about 42 km. This is a multi-sector and multi-sector integrated economic planning area, including industry - trade - service - tourism - urban and agriculture - forestry - fishery associated with marine economy
Phase 1 will be implemented until 2020 on an area of 15,403 ha; Phase 2 will be completed in 2030, complete the overall planning of the economic zone.
Up to now, there have been 11 registered investors and licensed by the province to implement projects in the economic zone. In particular, key projects are being implemented such as the Tra Vinh canal; Duyen Hai electricity center; projects to upgrade and expand national highways 60, 53 and 54, linking this economic zone with neighboring provinces; Tra Cu port; Dinh An Residential Area and Fishery Services.
